Description
The Sphyrna HFD (Hardware Filtering Diode) is an FPGA-based hardware filtering CDS with a flexible architecture capable of providing PFD (protocol filtering diode) functionality at wire speed with enough logic capacity to provide advanced in-stream filtering of structured file formats with filtering conducted entirely in hardware. Designed to be Raise The Bar compliant.
NGXS HFD Data Diode Details
FPGA Component
- High volume of logic cells for advanced filtering
- 650K logic cells
- 597K flip flops
- Integrated Quad-core Arm Cortex management CPU
Flexible Logging options
- Logging to source (ingress interface)
- Logging to destination (egress interface)
- 25Gbps (SFP28) dedicated logging interface
Filtering
- All filtering performed at wire speed
- Filtering for ISO layers 2-4, including header flags and CRC checks.
Management
- 1Gbps Ethernet interface (optional)
- USB-C interface (optional)
- GPIO interfaces for anti-tamper sensors
Data Interfaces
- 25Gbps (SFP28) bidirectional ingress interface
- 25Gbps (SFP28) TX-only egress interface (bidirectional applications possible with appropriate bitstream and optional jumper)
Security Mechanisms
- All filtering performed in logic (no CPU or softCPU used)
- Ingress and Egress interfaces in separate FPGA quads
- All interfaces can ben disabled by the management CPU or in logic
- Dedicated memory for filter logic (not accessible from management CPU)
- rulesets are encrypted and signed. Decryption performed directly in logic
- Physical and logical unidirectional assurance
- Can provide a complete protocol break
- Can provide a complete encryption break
